Sabres fans still obsessed

According to the Buffalo News:

The Buffalo Sabres lost less than 1 percent of their season-ticket holders from last season, and they have a waiting list of about 8,000 names.

The team now expects to sell out all its home games before the start of the regular season...

...The team lost roughly 100 season-ticket holders out of 14,800 in the off-season renewal process.

The Sabres cap season ticket sales at about 4000 seats under the capacity of the HSBC arena and expect such a strong demand when single game tickets go on sale September 15th that most, if not all, games will sell out.

Steve Sullivan heckles injured fan

Big hat tip to Parlayer.com for this one: Steve Sullivan gets heckled by a front-row fan after taking a stick to the grill. Sullivan has the unreal luck of being able to "repay the favour" later in the game.

Kind of reminds me of the Seinfeld episode when Jerry goes to Elaine's office to heckle Kramer's girlfriend (and chases her into the street where her pinky toe gets run over...)

fan priorities

I just spoke with a friend from Buffalo who will go un-named...let's just call him Mr. Udo. Mr. Udo is away for three days on a business trip and upon arriving at his hotel this afternoon he made a discovery: apparently in his haste to pack this morning he failed to bring any form of underwear, but did pack his authentic throwback Buffalo Sabres jersey.

Priorities.
